Business cards in Vaughan
Vaughan business is concentrated in two very different places, and they order differently. The Concord industrial blocks and the units along Highway 7 house construction, millwork, stone and mechanical contractors, most of them family firms two or three generations in. They order 18pt uncoated in quantity, because the card gets written on at a site meeting and coated stock smears. Nobody there is interested in a finish that makes the card harder to use.
Vaughan Metropolitan Centre is the other pole and it behaves like downtown — offices, professional services, brokerages, and a preference for 16pt coated with soft-touch lamination. Maple and the older parts of Woodbridge sit between the two: independent trades and retail, ordering 500 at a time, usually needing the logo tidied up before it can be printed properly because it was drawn once in 2009 and has been resized ever since.
That tidying-up is worth doing once. A logo redrawn as vector artwork prints sharply at any size, from a business card to a truck door, and you own the files afterwards. We quote it separately and up front rather than folding it into the print price, so you can see what it costs and decide. Quantities are worth thinking about honestly. Cards are cheapest per unit at a thousand, but a firm that changes a phone number, adds a certification or moves unit within eighteen months throws away most of them. Why does my logo look blurry when printed?
